The first ever joint meeting between the Western Forest Genetics Association, Southern Forest Tree Improvement Committee, and Northern Forest Genetics Association: Forest Genetics 2025 will take place June 23-27th, 2025 in State College, Pennsylvania.
Forest geneticists from across the globe to State College, Pennsylvania will be brought together in spring 2025 to lead discussions on the role of genetics in forest health, conservation, climate adaptation, biotechnology, tree breeding, seed sourcing and seed transfer, and much, much more. The meeting will include exciting keynote speakers across a diversity of topics in forest health and genetics, highlighting a diversity of research approaches, issues, and advances critical to the field of forest genetics. The conference will include local field trips to forest genetics research sites and several free workshops offered prior to the meeting to facilitate training and extension.
