ETH/Evoltree course "Genomics of environmental adaptation"
5-9 February 2024, WSL Birmensdorf, Switzerland (close to Zürich).

This five-day winter school aims at teaching advanced Master students, PhD students and post-doctoral researchers on aspects of the genomics of environmental adaptation. It provides both theoretical background and hands-on exercises in R on major topics of contemporary environmental genomics such as outlier analysis or genotype–environment associations.

Tentative program:
Day 1:
- Genomic markers and NGS techniques
- Selection, neutral and adaptive genetic diversity, genetic drift, population genetic structure
Day 2:
- Outlier analysis
Day 3:
- Environmental data
- Genotype-environment associations (GEA)
Day 4:
- Genotype-environment associations (GEA)
- Genomic offset
Day 5:
- Genome-wide association studies (GWAS)
- Follow-up analyses

Knowledge of R is a pre-requisite.
Teachers: Rolf Holderegger, Felix Gugerli, Christian Rellstab, Benjamin Dauphin, Deborah Leigh

There are four seats available for Evoltree participants as well as four guest rooms to stay at WSL.
