Purpose of the Meeting
The meeting comprised invited talks, poster sessions, open discussions, and a field excursion. 5 different training workshops werde offered, designed to help palynologists develop and strengthen their skills when working with multiple sites and data held in the European Pollen Database (EPD). The EPD was updated and redesigned based upon discussions at this meeting. We encouraged palynologists at an early stage of their career to attend and take part in this process. Financial support for attendance was available for young scientist.
