I participated in the 2nd EVOLTREE conference "Resilient Forests for the Future", an event that brought together researchers, PhD students, and professors from various parts of the world. This conference, where I made my first oral presentation as a PhD student, turned out to be an incredible opportunity for education and networking.
The chance to give my first oral presentation was one of the conference's high points for me. I also participated with a poster in which I presented the findings from my PhD's first chapter. During the discussion of my findings, I received several interesting questions. It was exciting and I gain confidence out of this experience. It was a great training ground for my next academic aspirations.
The conference was not only about presentations but also about connecting with fellow researchers. I had the privilege of meeting other PhD students who shared similar research interests. Having in depth discussions about our ongoing research projects was inspiring and allowed me to gain new perspectives on my work.
Finally, during the conference, we had the honour of listening to some exceptional keynote speakers. Their presentations covered various aspects of resilience in forests, and I found them truly inspiring.
